Shaggy bag is completed....so it can now be wrapped and delivered....
Today has been a terrible day for us Aussies....we are having some terrible bush fires in Victoria...to date 65 people have perished in these fires...whole families have been lost in this overnight catastrophe.....and you know the worst thing...some of these fires have been deliberately lit....so lets all hope that in Victoria there can be a huge change in the weather and not another single person is lost.......take care and keep safe......

  1. That's a great bag - I've never tried any shaggy quilting, it looks fun. We've been hearing about your fires on our news bulletins, they sound frightening and devastating. It's hard to understand why people set fires deliberately, but it seems to happen everywhere.

  4. Peg, it is a beautiful bag. I've not tried anything shaggy before, but it is on the (extremely long) list of things to do after seeing yours! Such a tragic loss of life goes beyond description, doesn't it? Especially when it was mostly preventable.

  6. Lo-ve-ly bag Peg!!

We’ve seen the devastation of the fires on the news. Sad, terrible, unbelievable. And other parts of Australia are flooded...
I hope the rain will find it’s way to the fires and no more people will get hurt and loose their lifes, houses, farms, cattle..

  12. Lovely bag, it will be cherished I am sure!

I have just read about the bushfires - I am so sorry for all those people and hope very much that the fires will be put out quickly. We lived in Sydney at the time of the 1993/94 bushfires, and can never forget the places we saw after the fires...

  13. We've been hearing the news of your weather and the fires here in Canada. It must be horrible. *Hugs* and good wishes that they will be extinguished quickly and safely, and that the weather will improve.

The bag, of course, is lovely.

  15. I love your bag Peg. My heart and mind are with you and your country today. The fires there have made our national news and papers. Please know that you have many prayers offered for the familes that have lost loved ones. We are told that the weather is cooling down. I hope that this will help the situation some.

Lovely bag! I had to look back to see how you did the quilting. I haven't begun the Willowberry BOM yet. Lovely though.

  23. Peg , that is a fabulous bag. I have seen lots and made quite a few but that stands out as a fresh delightful creation. I do so like it, the colour choice is very clean.

We are so shocked at the fire news from across the ditch. Stay safe. Ali in NZ.
